Club Muse—Jeff Tovar’s Drum & Bass, Techno and Dubstep audio brand—is to present a very minimal yet powerful viewpoint with its design. Dark grey Helvetica typeface on a white canvas with light grey shapes; it’s all a very sterile look where the content is the star.

Muse + Smog Present Pinch Flyer

Club Muse 1/4 page print flyer for the joint event with Los Angeles Dubstep pioneers Smog. The design was to reflect the grittiness of their brand while keeping true to the Muse minimalism. Image also used on social networking sites and on various messageboards.

This WordPress customization took the original Techified theme by CheonNii and turned it into something reflective of the signature Droid style.

The Media Contender Podcast Series features the best music in the ever-changing and progressing landscape of dance music culture. The design concept was to stay true to the lifestyle blog’s target audience which is forward-thinking, yet can also appreciate the simplicity of a photograph-based design laced with texture. Images were used as ID3 tags, on the website’s sidebar and on Itunes.

Muse 2010 – Logo, Flyer & WebPage

The return of Club Muse in 2010 was highly anticipated by both the music enthusiasts who used to frequent the spot and those involved. A new direction was to be headed with the night’s incorporation of Techno into the D&B mix. Visually, the branding was all about colorless geometry with clean lines and just a bit of texture on the flyer to give it an organic feel. The webpage is currently minimal with only the basics displayed, but future plans include a full WordPress customization.
