The Media Contender Podcast Series features the best music in the ever-changing and progressing landscape of dance music culture. The design concept was to stay true to the lifestyle blog’s target audience which is forward-thinking, yet can also appreciate the simplicity of a photograph-based design laced with texture. Images were used as ID3 tags, on the website’s sidebar and on Itunes.

The return of Club Muse in 2010 was highly anticipated by both the music enthusiasts who used to frequent the spot and those involved. A new direction was to be headed with the night’s incorporation of Techno into the D&B mix. Visually, the branding was all about colorless geometry with clean lines and just a bit of texture on the flyer to give it an organic feel. The webpage is currently minimal with only the basics displayed, but future plans include a full Wordpress customization.

Kuru Studio Mix Promo – The Difference – Producer/DJ duo Kuru debut studio mix promotion, a web flyer providing necessary information on the compilation. The concept was to reflect the minimalism presented by the music.

Local Drum & Bass club Respect holds their events at the Dragonfly. Staticka was asked to guest-design a web flyer for this event featuring Kuru and many more. Concept was a throwback to the design of D&B’s earlier days.

Trust 10.17.09 Flyer – Web flyer for Nick Dirty’s Trust event in Santa Ana. The event usually has an in-house designer so the goal was to keep the overall feel close to his style. View/compare/learn more about the event at Myspace.

Gimme Drugs Release Graphic – The original release graphic for Christian Falero’s Gimme Drugs out on Nervous Records was a bit hardcore. To steer away from negative connotations both Kevin Focus and Kuru decided to lighten things up a bit with a new graphic promoting their remix available now on Beatport.
